Alltagsshirt
by Barbara Wolff
This means a shirt for everyday…
This cheerful summer companion is quickly knitted from soft cotton. The construction is almost classic, as it is knitted from the bottom up. It does have a few special touches, such as side slits in the hem and on the sleeves.
Basically, you can rework the shirt with any yarn that you can work with a 4mm needle. I knitted my second shirt from Tussah Charms, a pure silk yarn. In size M it weighs 250g. (For sizes XL and XL I would expect to use a little more than 300g) You just shouldn't get confused with such a pure silk yarn, because after finishing and before washing and drying it is ridiculously short. Silk elongates when the stitches relax due to a bath or wearing.
