Lichterbogen
It has become dark. Dark in the morning when we go out and dark in the evening when we come back home. Everything seems to be colder in the dark and we are looking for warmth and light.
In Advent we use candles to bring light into the dark. The light warms and gives hope. The light gets stronger and brighter and finally reaches its climax at Christmas, when in Bethlehem the light of the world will be born.
Shall we turn towards the light together knitting our this year‘s shawl called „Lichterbogen“, what means „arch of light“?
We knit with our Twisted Fifties: 4 skeins of main color and 2 skeins of contrast color. The shape is kind of a crescent arch comparable to a banana.
As always the pattern will be available as download in four parts always on Friday before the Sundays in Advent as a little Christmas gift (25.11., 2.12., 9.12. and 16.12.). Dibadu will prepare special kits for the KAL.
From 6.1.2023 the pattern will be available for purchase.
The pattern and this text are designed by Barbara Laumbacher. We are so happy about this and want to say thank you at this place. Also to Mara Laumbacher, who paintet the Picture for our KAL.As last year there will be again lots of chatter and knitting in our group on ravelry. We are looking forward to a nice, pre-Christmas knitting.
From now on the picture is availiable for download. You are welcome to use it on ravelry, on instagram or in your blog to mark that you are joining us for this venture. Please use hashtags #dibaduMKAL2022 #bycrocodile so that we could stay connected and find each other.
