Winter in Saint Petersburg.
The town is enwrapped in a soft snowy blanket, the river is frozen and the domes wear bright bonnets of snow. Shall we have a romantic sleigh ride there?
Let’s go and see glistening icicles and dancing snowflakes after the snow flurry.
And let us picture a warm welcome for Christmas in one of the old tsars’ palaces in the twinkling light of chandeliers with countless candles.
For the feastful occasion we will knit an elegant capelet consisting of a yoke with a simple slip stitch pattern followed by a textured passage in knit-purl pattern and finally opens out in dancing snowflakes with a little bit of basic lace - optionally beads can be used.
You will need three skeins of yarn with 366m – 400m / 100g and, if you like, approximately 20g beads (Toho 6/0).
