Gradient yarns have a charm all their own. Here is a variant of a special kind. The yarn is spun in two strands, with both single strands having a long color gradient. Raport repeats do not exist, or at such a great distance that they would not be recognizable within a skein. The character that results when knitting is reminiscent of color gradients otherwise found only in handspun wool. Socks made from this wool, according to the manufacturer, will be a true crust work. Each different and individual. If they like to knit from this yarn a scarf, or a shawl, perhaps other garments, so it also gives each knitted piece its own character.
