These color families were first developed for Jacqueline Em's "Kaminfeuer" MKAL. For this shawl you need such a set of 6 skeins as a contrasting color and 3 skeins of Twisted Fifties in one main colour. This should also have as solid a coloration as possible.
When you buy all the material for this shawl, you will receive a code to download the pattern on ravelry for free.
Color families are sets of 6 different skeins. These are dyed semi-solid to tell you their story. This can be a color transition, or a gradation in brightness or saturation.
As is the case in families, you can usually see at first glance that the members belong together. And yet no one is exactly the same as the other.
What you want to do with it is left to your imagination - a special scarf or a pullover?
Perhaps you would like to contrast it with a plain contrasting yarn, or interlock two sets to create a stunning Fair Isle project?
