Paper yarns have a lasting tradition in Japan! They are often compared to silk in their noble character and have similar properties to silk: Cooling in summer and warming in winter. Washi can be knit single stranded for lace and lightweight summer scarfs. For shirts and jackets we recommend to knit Washi double stranded or in combination with Niji
